Dormroom DesignAR is operated by A2IDEA, LLC. By using the app you agree to these terms.

Community content

The app lets you publish room floor plans, notes, and room setups that other users can see. When you publish content you confirm that:

You had permission to be in, and to scan, the space you captured.
Your content contains facts about rooms — not information about people.
You will not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, obscene, deceptive, or that invades anyone’s privacy.

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Content that violates these rules is removed, and repeat violators lose the ability to publish. You can report any content from within the app, block any publisher, and delete anything you have published at any time.

You keep ownership of what you publish. You grant Dormroom DesignAR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute published content within the service, so other users can view and build on shared rooms and setups — that’s the point of publishing. Deleting your content ends this license for that content.

The service

Room measurements are estimates produced by consumer hardware and community contribution. Verify dimensions yourself before purchasing or committing to a layout. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind.
Product listings link to third-party retailers. Prices and availability are theirs; purchases happen on their sites under their terms. Some links may be affiliate links that earn the app a commission at no cost to you, and product placements may be sponsored — sponsored placements are always labeled. Sponsorship never affects fit-check results or room data.
Dormroom DesignAR is not affiliated with any university or housing office. Room data is community-contributed and is not an official housing record.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, A2IDEA, LLC’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to $50.
Don’t abuse the service: no scraping, no automated publishing, no attempts to disrupt or reverse engineer it, no impersonation.

Age

You must be at least 13 to use the app. If you are under 18, use it with a parent or guardian’s permission.

These terms may be updated; changes appear on this page with a new effective date. Questions or concerns: open an issue on GitHub Issues.
